Donnie Lee Minor

DONNIE LEE MINOR, age 73 of Clanton, passed away on April 8, 2024 at Citizens Baptist Medical Hospital in Talladega, AL. He was born in Chilton County, AL on October 6, 1950; the son of the late Roland Lee Minor and the late Ruth Carter Minor.

Donnie honorably served his country in the United States Army. He went on to have a career in law enforcement. He served the city police departments of Crestview, FL, Laurel Hill, FL, Valparaiso, FL, and Clanton, AL.

He is survived by: Son, Samuel (Tammy) Minor of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Katie (Brandon) Nelson of Kimberly, AL; Granddaughter, Hali` Minor of Florida; Granddaughter, Ivy Dunn of Fayette, AL; Grandson’s, Nathan and Collin Nelson of Kimberly, AL; Grandson; Jacob Davenport of Clanton, AL; Granddaughter, Jordan (Michael) Smith of Maplesville, AL; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Betty Deloney of Clanton; and a host of Nephews and Nieces.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Roland and Ruth Minor; and Wife, Joyce Strength Minor.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
