Jean (Hale) Crocker

JEAN (HALE) CROCKER, age 94 of Gadsden and formerly of Alabaster, peacefully passed away into the presence of Jesus on April 11, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Marion, AL on March 4, 1930; daughter of the late Luther Hale and the late Addie Lee Holifield Hale.

Jean loved her family dearly. She was the best wife to Bill for nearly 75 years, a wonderful mother to her children, and the sweetest grandmother and great grandmother. She loved pets, tending to flowers, and pretty clothes. She loved to tell stories and enjoyed hearing about the life of her family members. She will be remembered for her good sense of humor along with her beautiful singing voice. She was a strong survivor who will be remembered by all her family who dearly loved her.

She is survived by: Husband, Bill Crocker of Centre; Son, Ricky (Jenny) Crocker of Kenesaw, GA; Daughter, Kathy Huckestein of Augusta, GA; Daughter, Beverly Wood of Gadsden; 7 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by: Daughter, Sandy Williams; Parents, Luther and Addie Lee Hale; Brother, Bill Hale; Brother, Ralph Hale; Sister, Alice Stewart; and Sister, Annie Jo Boswell.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the Shelby Memory Gardens Chapel located at 8586 AL Hwy 25 in Calera, AL.

A graveside service will immediately follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens with Rev. Joey Jones officiating.
