Elouise (Jackson) Mims

LOIS ELOUISE JACKSON MIMS, age 86 of Clanton, passed away on November 17, 2017 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on March 26, 1931; the daughter of the late Joel Andrew Jackson and the late Rosie Bell Vines Jackson.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by: Husband, John Thomas Mims of Clanton; Son, John Darrell (Janet)Mims of Clanton; Son, Randy Lamar (Gail) Mims of Jemison; Granddaughter, Sabrina Mims Hayes of Jemison; Granddaughter, Katrina Mims Hubbard of Clanton; Grandson, Andrew Steven Mims of Clanton; and Great Grandchildren: Colton Adam Fortenberry, Alexis Brooke Hubbard, Ava Kate Hayes, Westin Nash Mims, and Allison Page Hubbard.

She is preceded in death by: Son, Richard Lynn Mims; Parents, Joel Andrew and Rosie Bell Jackson; Brothers: James Austin Jackson, Stonewall Jackson, and Olen Jackson; and Sisters: Creola Bierley, Lorene Williams, and Weston Long.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Randal Mims and Rev. James Long officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.
