James Hasson Bowman

JAMES HASSON BOWMAN, age 74 of Jemison, passed away on September 18, 2017 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born on April 17, 1943 in Elton, MD; the son of the late William Bowman and the late Ella Mae Preston Wilkinson.

He was a former drywall foreman.

He is survived by: Wife, Brenda Bowman of Jemison; Son, Michael K. (Beverly) Barnwell of Piedmont; Daughter, Shelly Gibson of Cumming, GA; 6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; and a Son-in-Law, Nick Tricoli.

He is preceded in death by: Daughter, Melissa Tricoli; Father, William Bowman; Mother, Ella Mae Wilkinson; Brother, William Bowman; and Brother, Larry Bowman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6-8pm at Union Grove Baptist Church in Jemison.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00am from Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kirk Smith and Rev. Jason Ledbetter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation be made to the Union Grove Baptist Church Playground Fund or to the Florida hurricane relief efforts.
