Janet Alverson Garren

JANET ALVERSON GARREN, age 42 of Clanton, passed away on February 2, 2018 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born in Selma, AL on June 17, 1975; the daughter of David Alverson and Patsy Keener Alverson.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by: Sons, Damon Gans of Calera and Trevor Garren of Shelby; Parents, Patsy (Keith) Bishop of Calera and David Alverson of Columbiana; Fiancé, Jason Baker of Clanton; Siblings, Michelle Rood of Calera and Timothy Alverson of Montevallo; Grandparents, Joann Smith Milam of Jemison and Opal Alverson of Shelby; Father of her son Trevor, Kevin Garren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with James Daniel Alverson and Shane D. Ogle officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.

The family would like to request that everyone please dress casual as this was Janet’s request.
