Jimmy Norris Obituary

JIMMY LEE NORRIS, age 70 of Montevallo, passed away suddenly on April 5, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Boothton, AL on September 25, 1947; the son of the late Lee Allen Norris and the late Mildred Herring Norris.

He was a former conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He also served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by: Wife, Donna Norris of Montevallo; Son, Gary Bash of New Florence, PA; Son, Jason Bash of Montevallo; Daughter, Courtney Bowser of Montevallo; 10 Grandchildren; Several Great-grandchildren; Brother, Jack Norris of Hueytown, AL; and Sister, Lavonne McCain of Hueytown, AL.

He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Bash; Parents, Lee and Mildred Norris; and brother, Eddie Norris.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00pm from the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with the Rev. James Simpson officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 4-6pm at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.
