LEE D. RATLIFF, age 71 of Jemison, AL, passed away on November 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Dickenson County, VA on July 23, 1946; the son of the late Chester Ratliff and the late Faye Smith Ratliff.
He was a retired coal miner. He went on to retire as a federal mine inspector. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was also a Master Mason. 
He is survived by: Wife, Lois Ratliff of Jemison; Daughter, Angie (Mark) Tiller of Lake Lotawana, MO; Son, Rick Ratliff of Clintwood, VA; Son, Donnie Ratliff of Hutchinson, KS; Son, Kevin Ratliff of Vacaville, CA; Son, James Ratliff of Camp Lejeune, NC; 12 Grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; Sister, Teresa Newbury of Coeburn, VA; Brother, Joe Ratliff of Norton, VA; and Aunt, Emma Smith of Clintwood, VA.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 9:00am until 10:30am at the Bryant Funeral Home located at 1425 Patton Road Great Bend, Kansas 67530.
A graveside funeral service with military and masonic honors will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00am in the Bergthal Mennonite Cemetery in Pawnee Rock, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
