Suzanne Canaan Broadwater

SUZANNE CANAAN BROADWATER, age 56 of Jemison, passed away on January 12, 2018 at UAB Palliative Care Center in Birmingham, AL. She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on July 1, 1961; the daughter of Thomas O’Donnell Canaan and the late Joan Myers Canaan.

She was a former substitute teacher.

She is survived by: Husband, Douglas Broadwater of Jemison; Son, Jason (Jo) Broadwater of Daphne; Daughter, Elizabeth (Wes) Rogers of Prattville; Granddaughter, Hayla Broadwater of Daphne; Grandson, Benjamin Broadwater of Daphne; Father, Tom Canaan of Jemison; and Brother, Stuart Canaan of Columbia, SC.

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Joan Myers Canaan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 3-6pm at Union Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2:00pm from Union Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Evie Meggison officiating.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the services.

Burial will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Cemetery in Randolph, AL.

The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Union Springs Baptist Church or to the Pulmonary Hypertension Foundation.
