David Mack Wilmoth

DAVID MACK WILMOTH, age 74 of Verbena, AL, passed away on January 11, 2020 at Community Hospital in Tallassee, AL. He was born in Baltimore, MD on December 11, 1945; the son of the Louis B. Wilmoth and the late Margaret Richardson Wilmoth.

David was born with Down Syndrome. He was a former Special Olympics participant who won a championship. He was a loving and caring brother to his siblings. He was a devout Christian who had a giving demeanor. He was a member of Bethsalem Baptist Church in Billingsley, AL.

He is survived by: Sister, Louise Rexroth of Bel Air, MD; Brother, L.B. Wilmoth of Durham, NC; Brother, Steven Wilmoth of Wilkesboro, PA; Brother, Vernon Wilmoth of Jack, AL; Sister, Robin Nickels of Lititz, PA; Brother, Mark Wilmoth of Bel Air, MD; Sister, Sarah Griner of Verbena, AL; and Sister, Karen Barnwell.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow later in the week at Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, MD.
