Deitra Denise (Smitherman) Cooper

DEITRA DENISE (SMITHERMAN) COOPER, age 50 of Maplesville, passed away on September 8, 2019 at UAB Palliative Care in Birmingham. She was born in Chilton County on March 29, 1969; the daughter of Bobby Smitherman and Mary Jane Foley Smitherman.

She was a former lunchroom lady at Isabella High School.

She is survived by: Husband, Alan Cooper of Maplesville; Son, David Lenoir of Maplesville; Son, Brandon Cooper of Maplesville; Daughter, Ashley Cooper of Clanton; Grandson, Kyle Lenoir of Maplesville; Parents, Bobby and Mary Jane Smitherman of Maplesville; Brother, Bobby Smitherman, Jr. of Maplesville; and Sister, Tereasa Wallace of Maplesville.

She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Audrey Cooper.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00am from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church No. 2 in Maplesville with Rev. Junior Atchison officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2 Cemetery in Maplesville, AL.
