Don Wayne Barefield

DON WAYNE BAREFIELD, age 67 of Montevallo, passed away on August 11, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Shelby County on October 28, 1950; the son of the late Grady Truman Barefield and the late Lillie Bell Pierce Barefield.

He was a former truck driver.

He is survived by: Wife, Sharon Barefield of Montevallo; Son, Donnie Wayne Barefield of Jemison; Daughter, Kim Kernop of Calera; Son, Michael Carlee of Montevallo; Son, Chris Barefield of Jemison; Step-Son, Josh Lett of Clanton; Step-Son, Scotty Gentry of Clanton; 17 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Truman Barefield of Calera; Sister, Frances Sheffield of Calera; Sister, Dorothy Jean Cost of Demopolis; Sister, Linda Stone of Calera; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Grady T. and Lillie B. Barefield; Brother, Johnny Barefield; Sister-in-Law, Evelyn Barefield; and Brother-in-Law, Jimmy Sheffield.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens with Rev. Gary Jones and Rev. Roger Willis officiating.

Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Pea Ridge, AL.
