Evelyn Smitherman

EVELYN SMITHERMAN, age 71 of Clanton, passed away on August 8, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on October 9, 1947; the daughter of the late Edgar Smitherman and the late Lera Mae Franklin Smitherman.

She was a former trimmer in the sewing factory. She was a caring Christian woman. She was also a faithful member of the Billingsley Church of God.

She is survived by: Son, Paul Franklin of Clanton; Sister, Carolyn Cox of Clanton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives,

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Billingsley Church of God with Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Billingsley Church of God Cemetery in Billingsley, AL.
