Gayle Lynette (Thompson) Goins

GAYLE LYNETE THOMPSON GOINS, of Jemison, AL, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Sylacauga, AL on May 15, 1951; the daughter of the late Jeff D. Thompson and the late Lorna Hobbs Thompson.

She was a former LPN. She was also an instructor at Virginia Tech.

She is survived by: Husband, Curtis Lee Goins, Jr. of Jemison; Daughter, Lorraine Hernandez of Jemison; Son, Dusty Johnson of Billingsley; Grandchildren: Dustin (Michelle) Johnson of Billingsley, Amber Johnson of Billingsley, and Zebida Castaneda of Jemison; and a Brother, Jeff (Nan) Thompson of Atlanta, GA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. John Pullen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Children’s Hospital of Alabama Endocrinology Center.
