Inez Lawrence Lane

MRS. INEZ LAWRENCE LANE, age 91 formerly of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away on December 14, 2017 at Mizzell Memorial Hospital in Opp, Alabama. She was born on January 8, 1926, daughter of the late Coby and Irene Latham Lawrence.

​She was a former secretary for UAB Hospital Radiology Department.

She is survived by her Daughter, Karen (Mark) Connors of Smyrna, GA; Grandchildren, Malissa Connors, Lane Connors, Chase Connors all of Smyrna, GA; Great-Grandson, Cohen Reveles of Smyrna, GA; Foster Grandsons, Keith Mallory of Shreveport, Louisiana and Tobey Mallory of Prattville, Foster Great-Grandchildren, Dana Mallory, Joshua Mallory, and Tabitha Mallory; Siblings, Donald (Betty Jo) Lawrence of Opelika, Bettye (John L.) Mitchell of Opelika, Evelyn Roebuck of Clanton, Barbara Rush of Clanton; Nettie Smith of Maplesville, and Augusta Harris of Huntsville; as well as a host of numerous nieces and nephews whom loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Lane; Parents, Coba and Irene Lawrence; and Siblings, Choba Lawrence, Branson Lawrence, Lovice Bryan, Vernell Davis, and Geneva Atchison.

Mrs, Lane will be laid to rest at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Birmingham at 2:30pm on Monday, December 18, 2017 with Shane Ogle officiating.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 13, 2018 at 11:00am in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Opelika.
