James Donald Partridge

JAMES DONALD PARTRIDGE, age 77 of Calera, passed away on February 19, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Bibb County on June 24, 1941; the son of the late Rev. West Partridge and the late Maggie Smitherman Partridge.

He was a 1959 graduate of Chilton County High School in Clanton. He went on to become a coal miner.

He is survived by: Wife, Mary Partridge of Calera; Daughter, Kim Partridge of Calera; Daughter, Carlene Gaines of Calera; Daughter, Lynn Pickett of Montevallo; and Grandchildren: Kayla Gaines, Gray Gaines, Lewis Gaines, Amy Blackstone, and Emily McDaniel.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Rev. West and Maggie Partridge; Brother, Grady Partridge; Sister, Dot Lawley; and Sister, Edna Mae Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera with Rev. Ray Smith officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, AL.
