Joe Robert Cantley

JOE ROBERT CANTLEY, age 68 of Clanton, passed away on October 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Jefferson County, AL on January 30, 1951; the son of the late Dr. Don A. Cantley and Marilyn Miller Snow.

He was a 1970 graduate of Columbia Military Academy and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1970 to 1977.

He was an orthotist. He loved his job because he loved people and being able to help and assist them. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing competition darts and was an absolute Auburn football fan.

He is survived by: Wife of 50 years, Dana T. Cantley of Clanton; Daughter, Stacy C. (Sean A.) Stagner of Clanton; Son, Ray T. (Amanda) Cantley of Thorsby; Granddaughter, Lacey Stagner of Clanton; Grandson, Andrew B. Cantley of Thorsby; Grandson, Nathan T. Cantley of Thorsby; Granddaughter, Alaina Jo Cantley of Thorsby; Mother, Marilyn M. Snow of Homewood; Brother, Don A. (Dori) Cantley III of Springville; Brother, David F. (Suzanne) Cantley of Pinson; Brother, Neal (Kim) Cantley of KY; and Sister, Lauren (David) Brutscher of KY.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 2-4pm at New Life Community Church in Clanton, AL.
