Katherine Mae Johnson Lavies age 73 of Jemison, passed away on January 07, 2019. She was born on October 5, 1945 to the late Horace Johnson and the late Cathryne Hill Johnson.

She was a telemarketer.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Greg Lavies; Children, Roger (Audrey) Willis, Ronald Willis, and Robin Willis; 8 Grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; and Siblings, Frances (Gordon) Ratliff, Brenda Marinakis, Esteene (Tim) Isbell, and Murlene (Charlie) Fields.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Cathryne Johnson; Son, Robert Hughey Willis; Grandson, Josh Poe; and siblings, Elizabeth Blum, William "Bill" Horace Johnson, Fay Walker, and Willie Horace Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
