Kelley Hayes Siler, Jr.

Kelley Hayes Siler Jr., 75 of Rockford, Alabama passed away on September 16, 2018. He left his earthly bonds just as he wished; quietly and gently at home. He was born on August 24, 1943, son of the late Kelley Hayes Siler Sr and the late Virginia Siler of Corbin, Kentucky.

Mr. Siler is survived by his daughter, Julie (Wayne) Hunter of Clanton, his son Michael Travis (Angela) Wiseman of Thorsby, his granddaughter and best friend “Sam”, Samantha Kennly Alexandria Williams Hunter, his grandsons and Fuzzy Duck running buddies, Zachary David Williams Hunter and Talon Drake Hunter, along with his stunningly beautiful granddaughters, Makenna Grace and Miley Rae Wiseman and two nephews, Guy Russell Siler of Rutledge, Tennessee and Matthew (Melody) Gene Siler of London, Kentucky. Kelley Siler would tell everyone that his grandchildren were beautiful because they looked just like their Paw Paw. Yes, he was a truly humble man that was adored and loved by many.

Mr. Siler is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Fisher Siler, his parents Virginia and Kelley Hayes Siler Sr. and his beloved brother Dean Russell Siler.

Mr. Siler was a skilled Master Butcher that traveled throughout the United States working and sharing his knowledge with and training future Master Butcherers. He was a prolific gardener and a gifted historian.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:00am in Sardis Baptist Cemetery in Rockford, AL with Rev. Matthew Reams officiating.

A Celebration of Life Service honoring Mr. Siler will start at 12:00 PM at Sardis Baptist Church located at 8437 Coosa County Road 29 Rockford, AL 35136 . The family wishes to invite all family and friends to join them.
