Linda Nolen Obituary

 

LINDA LOU NOLEN, age 69 of Maylene, passed away on February 25, 2019 at her residence after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Jefferson County on March 14, 1949; the daughter of the late Charles Ray Tucker and Edna Louise Jones Tucker.

She was a former administrative assistant with American Family Care. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who loved to shop.

She is survived by: Son, Ray Nolen of Alabaster; Son, Scott Nolen of Maylene; Daughter-in-Law, Jennifer Nolen of Maylene; Grandchildren: Bryant, Holleyanna, Jackson, Hunter, Mykah, Christiana, Christopher, and Clayton; Mother, Lou Tucker of Hoover; Brother, Tommy (Karen) Tucker of Hueytown; Brother, Rev. Paul (Bill) Tucker of Birmingham; Brother, Charles “Chuck” (Robyn) Tucker of Calera; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Jackie Nolen; Father, Charles R. “Charlie” Tucker; and life long Best Friend, Diann Cruickshank.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Alabaster First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Tucker and Rev. Mike Byars officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Still Memorial Cemetery in Alabaster, AL.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Alabaster first Baptist Church Building Fund 903 3rd Ave. NW Alabaster, AL 35007.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens of Calera, AL.
