Louise (Scott) Ray

LOUISE SCOTT RAY, age 76 of Thorsby, passed away on August 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on April 19, 1942; the daughter of the late Grady Scott and the late Willodean Pate Scott.

She was a former nurse.

She is survived by: Daughter, Janice Dennis of Thorsby; Daughter, Mary Logan of Thorsby; Son, Tyrone Ray of Thorsby; Son, Cory Ray of Thorsby; Daughter, Monica Massey of Thorsby; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Dorothy Brown of Thorsby; Sister, Teresa Beasley of Thorsby; and Brother, Rev. Douglas Scott of Thorsby.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Tullas Tyrone Ray; Daughter, Dianna Ray; Grandsons, Shannon Ray and Jessie Logan; and Great Grandchild, Dawson Ray.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2:00pm from the Clanton Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Steve Chance and Rev. Jeff Logan officiating.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, Alabama.
