Margie Nell (Stevens) Lindsey

MARGIE NELL LINDSEY, age 70 of Shelby, passed away on August 17, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL following a brief illness. She was born in Shelby County on October 23, 1948; the daughter of the late Clifford Stevens and the late Isabell Glass Scott.

She was a former caretaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook and will always be remembered for preparing large meals for her family. She also loved to fish, and that led to a lot of great fish frys.

She is survived by: Daughter, Donna Jackson of Shelby; Daughter, Tammy (David) Poe of Thorsby; 8 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Linda Smith of Clanton; Special Friend, George Trammel of Talladega; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 11:00am from Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Earl Short officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, AL.
