Mary Virginia Penland Wimpy, age 69 of Clanton passed away on September 14, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Georgia on August 21, 1949, daughter of the late William H. Penland and the late Annie M. Griffin.
She was a former factory worker.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Wimpy; Children, Jeffery S. Rogers, Arthur L. Rogers, William Joseph Lane, Charles Penland, Misty Sabrina Helton, Brandy Katherine Wimpy, Jessica Selena Galassi, and Norma Mae Gibbs; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Siblings, Gary Hank Penland and Dixie Lalonnie Hancock; Nieces, Nephews, and a mother to many others.
She is preceded by her parents, William H. Penland and Annie May Scoggins; Son, Earl Wayne Penland; and Sister, Janice Bartlett.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
