Roger Steven Moates

ROGER STEVEN MOATES, age 60 of Clanton, passed away on January 5, 2020 at UAB Palliative Care in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Clanton, AL on August 4, 1959; the son of the late James Rubin Moates and Freddie Anne Tucker Moates.

He was a truck driver. He also honorably served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by: Wife, Sandra Allred Moates of Clanton; Son, Richard (Amanda) Moates of Clanton; Granddaughter, Sadee Moates of Clanton; Granddaughter, Carlee Moates of Clanton; Mother, Freddie Moates of Clanton; Sister, Sarah Ann (Ken) Osendott of FL; Brother, Douglas Moates of Clanton; and Brother, David Moates of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by: Father, James R. Moates.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
