Virginia Lee (McCrory) Gore

VIRGINIA LEE (McCRORY) GORE, age 68 of Clanton, passed away on November 26, 2019 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton, AL. She was born in Atlanta, GA on September 3, 1951; the daughter of the late Edwards Lee McCrory and the late Harriett Broadnax McCrory.

She was a loving momma and nana to her children and grandchildren. She was a kind-hearted and sweet natured person who worked hard to provide for her family. She always placed her family above herself. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and her church, Lomax Assembly of God. She loved solving crossword puzzles and doing arts and crafts in her spare time.

She is survived by: Daughter, Jennifer (Fred) Yarenko of Clanton; Son, Scott (Adrienne) Chapman of Montgomery; Grandchildren: Tristin Yarenko, Brayden Yarenko, Kaleb Yarenko, and Katelyn Yarenko; Brother, Eddie (Joy) McCrory of Jasper, GA; Sister, Gail Mobley of Canton, GA; Sister, Harriett (Buddy) Farris of Dublin, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00am from Lomax Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ray Calhoun and Pastor Chris Newton officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
