Willard Allen Smitherman

WILLARD ALLEN SMITHERMAN, age 74 of Jemison, passed away on November 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on May 16, 1943; the son of the late Gary Smitherman and the late Gracie Henderson Smitherman.

He was a former lead man at ChemLime.

He is survived by: Son, Kenneth (Kippy) Smitherman of Thorsby; Daughter, Lisa (Mark) Gassaway of Jemison; Son, Mark (Sherry) Smitherman of Maplesville; Daughter, Tina (Neal) Watley of Jemison; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brothers: L.B. Smitherman of Clanton, Bobby Smitherman of Clanton, and James Smitherman of Selma; Sisters: Arlene Thrower of Jemison, Maylene Davis of Clanton, and Kristine Church of Selma; and Special Friends, Stephanie and Mark Mims.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Smitherman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Randolph Baptist Cemetery in Randolph, AL.
