WILLIAM SCOTT MIMS, age 47 of Verbena, passed away on May 27, 2018 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery. He was born in Marrero, LA on November 26, 1970; the son of the late William Thomas Mims and Jessie Yvonne Barbour Mims.
He was a maintenance man with Charlton Place in Deatsville, AL.
He is survived by: Daughter, Savanah (Brandon) Shirley of Wagarville; Daughter, Loran (Coble) Powell of Wagarville; Step-Son, Grant Parry of Montevallo; Special Son, Christian Schoener of Lawton, OK; Grandchildren: Zailee Sloan Shirley, Coble Eugene Powell, Jr., Beckham Scott Shirley, Gracie Parry, and Conner Schoener; Mother, Yvonne Mims of Clanton; Sister, Robin (Chuck) Cagle of Clanton; Sister, June Cleckler of Clanton; Half-Brother, Paul (Tiffany) Mims of Jemison; Half-Sister, Rebecca Mims of Clanton; and a host of nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by: Father, William T. “Bill” Mims; and Grandmother, Katie Mims Dale.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00am from West End Baptist Church with Rev. James Watkins officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made towards the funeral expenses at the funeral home.
