Wilton "Baurice" Brown

WILTON “BAURICE” BROWN, age 79 of Clanton, passed away on December 5, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Chilton Hospital in Clanton. He was born on March 31, 1938, son of the late Joe Brown and the late Effie Jane Rushing.

He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his son, Rodney Brown of Clanton; Daughter, Phyllis (Greg) Smitherman of Clanton; Grandchildren, Chelsea (Matthew) Brasher of Jemison, Savannah Smitherman of Clanton, Mary’l (Chris) Lassinger of Maylene, and Greysen Brown of Clanton; Great-grandchildren, Enoch Brasher of Jemison, Elijah Brasher of Jemison, and Annabelle Lassinger of Maylene; Grand Dog and friend, Reba; Sisters, Jo Doris Teel of Clanton and Martha Ann Mahan of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Effie Brown and his wife, Carolyn Minor Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00pm from the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Brasher officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
