Ada Ann (Sorrell) Parrish

ADA ANN PARRISH, age 83 of Thorsby, passed away on October 15, 2020 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on January 17, 1937; the daughter of the late Elvin Sorrell and the late Irene Mims Sorrell.

She was a former seamstress. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed embroidery and knit work, and was joyed to make items to give to her family.

She is survived by: Daughter, Wanda (Tommy) Bishop of Thorsby; Grandson, Adam (Angela) Bishop of Hamilton; Granddaughter, Lindsey Bishop of Thorsby; Grandson, Payton Parrish of Clanton; and Great-Grandson, Brantley Bishop of Hamilton.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Arthur “Mac” Parrish; Son, David Parrish; Parents, Elvin and Irene Sorrell; and Sister, Faye Smith.

A private family graveside will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 in the Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, AL.

The family request no flowers, but encourage a memorial contribution in Ann’s memory to the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Jemison, AL.
