ADA LEE (CAREY) PETERS, age 92 of Jemison, passed away on May 23, 2020 in Bessemer, AL. She was born in Walker County on November 27, 1927; the daughter of the late Allen Carey and the late Alma Manuel Carey.
She was a homemaker. She loved all of her very large family dearly. She was a faithful member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church as long as her health allowed her to attend.
She is survived by: Daughter, Faye (Steve) Ross of Bessemer; Daughter, Linda Peters of Clanton; Son, Phillip (Becky) Richardson of Quinton; Son, Tracy (Arlene) Peters of Plantersville; Step-Daughter, Linda Kay (Ron) Kalsbeck of Watertown, SD; Step-Son, Thomas Peters of Clio; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, William Gaither Richardson; Husband, Alvin Peters; Son, Cleo Richardson; Son, Donnie Richardson; Daughter, Ann Robbins; Daughter, Gay Howard; Step-Daughter, Susan Peters; Step-Sons: Matt Peters, Billy Peters, and Nathan Peters; Grandsons: Kerry Ross, Greg Donovan, and Michael Shannon Baugh; and Step-Grandson, Mark Peters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 5-7pm at Mineral Springs Baptist Church located at 8316 Co. Rd. 51 in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 11:00am from Mineral Springs Baptist Church with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and Rev. Jason Green officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
