AGNES MARIE (ANDERSON) BRASHER of Maplesville, Alabama, passed peacefully at her home on May 23, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on October 1, 1949, in Chilton County, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dewey Anderson and Maggie Chandler Anderson.
Agnes was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in the everyday routines of life at home. She spent her days caring for her family and keeping her home a welcoming place. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of others, and simply being present for those she loved. She was quiet and steady, and her love was felt most in the small things she did so faithfully.
She leaves behind her children: Renee (Charles) Syphrit of Thomasville, Robin Washington of Maplesville, Jimmy (Melissa) Brasher of Maplesville, Alicia Brasher of Prattville, and Kevin Brasher of Maplesville. She was proud “Mamaw” to 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Bond of Maplesville, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Brasher; their infant son, James Brasher; her parents, Dewey and Maggie Anderson; her sister, Margie Mims; Sister, Louise Green; and her brother, Wendell Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Joey Green officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
She will be laid to rest at Sardis Baptist Cemetery in Maplesville, Alabama.
Agnes will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love of home, and her deep care for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed.
