ALEX WAYNE ELLISON, age 81 of Jemison, passed away on August 21, 2020 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Chilton County on November 2, 1938; the son of the late Clyde Ellison and the late Janie Mae Bolton Ellison.
He was a former construction contractor.
He is survived by: Wife, Lyndel Hayes Ellison; Daughter, Bridgette Ellison (Michael) Weathers; Son, Shelby Wayne (Felicia Wheeler) Ellison; Grandchildren: Mason Weathers, Lindsey-Claire Weathers, Trent Ellison, Brianna Ellison (Austin) Anderson, Adrienne Ellison, and Sabrina Ellison; Great-Grandchild, Bella Anderson; 3 Sisters; and 2 Brothers.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Bro. Larry Rainey officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
