Archer "Archie" Deloyd Lloyd

ARCHER “ARCHIE” DELOYD LLOYD, age 60, of Montevallo, passed away on October 22, 2025, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Columbiana, Alabama, on June 13, 1965, the son of the late Olan Lloyd and the late Sudie Emery Lloyd.

Archie was a man who loved the outdoors and the simple joys of life. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Above all, he loved his children deeply and held a steadfast faith in the Lord. Though he is gone from this earth, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Candy (Jeremy) Smith of Montevallo; son, Chris (Jennifer) Lloyd of Verbena; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie Lloyd of Columbiana, Paul Lloyd of Montevallo, John Lloyd of Louisiana, and Billy Lloyd of Clanton; sisters, Carolyn Lucas of Wilsonville and Betty Dickson of North Carolina; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Sudie Lloyd; brothers, Roy Lane Lloyd, Roger Lloyd, and Donald Lloyd; and sister, Mary Northcutt.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
