AUDREY GRACE (MINOR) JONES, age 74 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on April 12, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on February 18, 1952; the daughter of the late Horace Minor and the late Christine Littleton Easterling.
Audrey loved her family in a way that was larger than life. Nothing brought her more joy than a backyard full of children, laughter filling the air as they swam and played. To everyone who walked through her door, she was simply “Nana.” It didn’t matter whether you were hers by blood or not. You belonged to her while you were there, and she loved you as her own.
Above all else, Audrey loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was impossible to have a conversation with her without hearing about His love and what He had done in her life. Her faith was not just something she spoke of. It was something she lived every day.
Though her body failed her for many years, Audrey’s faith never wavered. She held tightly to the promise of perfect healing to come. A place with no more pain, no sickness, no hurt, and no sin. She found peace in knowing that her salvation was bought and paid for through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross.
She is survived by: Her Husband and love of her life for 57 years, Jerry W. Jones; Daughter, Tina (Aaron) Jones; Daughter, Sheila (James) Owens; Grandchildren: Trae (Brandi) Caton, Kristina Caton (Jacqui Wynn), Morgan Dennis, Mason Dennis, Kole Wilson, Katie James Owens, Olivia Owens, Gracie Owens, Emma Owens, and Belle Jones; Great Grandsons, Kayson Caton and Krew Caton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: Son, Kyle Jones; Father, Horace Minor; Mother, Christine Easterling; Brother, John Mel Minor; Brother, Richard (Deborah) Minor; Sister, Vickey Jones Lockhart; and several nieces and nephews.
