Benny Everett Payton

BENNY EVERETT PAYTON, age 60 of Maplesville, passed away suddenly on May 5, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on May 6, 1962; the son of the late Carl Payton and the late Mary Sue Johnson Payton.

He was a former truck driver. He loved the outdoors where enjoyed spending his time hunting. He was a one-of-a-kind man who loved conversation with those he met. He loved his family, especially his grandbabies.

He is survived by: Son, Benjamin Carl Payton of Maplesville; Son, Derek Ray Payton of Jemison; Grandson, Brody Jace Payton of Clanton; Grandson, Wyatt Gray Payton of Jemison; Granddaughter, Willow Grace Payton of Jemison; and Sister, Sherry Lynn Ware of Panama City, FL.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Carl and Mary Sue Payton; Brother, Steven Oneal Payton; and Sister, Penny V. Mims.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2:00pm from Billingsley Church of God with Rev. Jason Kelley officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Billingsley Church of God Cemetery in Billingsley, AL.
