BETTY ANN (HARRIS) COLEMAN, age 76 of Marbury, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was born in Chilton County on February 14, 1947; the daughter of the late William Rhode Harris and the late Margaret Eletha Estes Harris.
Betty loved to quilt and spent many hours making memory quilts that are cherished by people all across the country. She also enjoyed pulling for her beloved Alabama Crimson Tide during football season. She loved her family beyond measure and absolutely adored her precious grandchildren. Most of all, Betty loved the Lord Jesus Christ and serving him. She was a member of Bible Believers Baptist Church where she served Him faithfully for 14 years.
She is survived by: Loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Charles Coleman; Daughters: Lynn (John) Pullen, Sherri Robinson, Julie (Joey) Byrd, Patricia (Brian) Hudman, and Melissa (Phillip) Cole; Grandchildren: Ashley Galloway, Chip (Leslie) Pullen, Chad (Allison) Robinson, Cole (Bethany) Robinson, Will (Morgan) Byrd, Nathan Byrd, Andy Cole, and Anna Cole; 8 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Steve (Tina) Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: Father, William Rhode Harris; Mother, Margaret Harris; Sister, Jane Birchfield; Brother, William Lloyd Harris; and Son-in-Law, Michael Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 6-8pm at Bible Believers Baptist Church in Thorsby, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:00pm from Bible Believers Baptist Church with Rev. John Pullen and Rev. Joey Byrd officiating.
The body will also be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.
