Betty Lee (Baker) Easterling

BETTY LEE (BAKER) EASTERLING, age 83 of Clanton, passed away on July 20, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on March 11, 1941; the daughter of the late Auklee Baker and the late Minnie Cleckley Baker.

Betty loved her family and all of her babies. She enjoyed spending time working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She was a dedicated church member who loved teaching Sunday School and singing for Jesus.

She is survived by: Daughter, Melinda Hubbard; Daughter, Sandra (Bill) Burdette; Daughter, Becky (Roger) Cleckler; Grandchildren: David (Julie) Moates, Wesley (Marie) Hubbard, Jeremy Hubbard, Bradley Cleckler, Valerie (Craig) Smitherman, and Kandice (Chace) Lucas; 13 Great Grandchildren with one on the way; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister, Merle Coley; Sister, Shirley (John) Coburn; Sister, Nancy Lockhart; and Brother, Charles (Rhonda) Baker.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Charles “CD” Easterling; Son-in-Law, Rick Thomas; Son-in-Law, Clinton Hubbard; Parents, Auklee and Minnie Baker; Brother, Herman Baker; Brother, Bill Baker; Brother, Shorty Baker; Sister, Frances Griffin; Sister, Nell Smith; Sister, Faye Hall; and Sister, Elnora Giles.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Coburn and Bro. Roger Cleckler officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.

The family would like to give special thanks to Brenda Adams for being a loving caregiver and friend to their mother. They would also like to thank all the family members for the loving care they provided to their mom over the past year.
