Betty Jean (Cleckler) Robinson

BETTY JEAN (CLECKLER) ROBINSON, age 80 of Birmingham, passed away on July 16, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, AL. She was born in Chilton County on July 5, 1944; the daughter of the late Gene Cleckler and the late Rosa Mae Connell Cleckler.

Betty was a true servant of her Lord Jesus Christ. She had a giving spirit about her that always allowed to her see and minister to those in need. She was truly a light in the dark world. She is a shining example for her family to follow. In thinking of Betty and her spirit for giving and sharing Jesus, Matthew 5:14 comes to mind; “You are the light of the world, like a city upon a hill that cannot be hidden.”

She is survived by: Son, Mark Robinson of Clanton; Daughter, Nancy (Sean) Russo of Pelham; Grandchildren: Crystan Rose Irwin of Pelham, Hannah Irwin of Columbiana, Audrey Irwin of Columbiana, and Jake (Briana) Robinson of Clanton; and Brother, Eddie Cleckler of Jemison.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Kenneth S. Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00am from Cedar Grove Church with Rev. Jeff Carroll officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.
