BETTY JUNE WAITES, age 79 of Jemison, passed away on February 17, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on June 21, 1944; the daughter of the late Bill Waites and the late Beatrice Mims Waites.
She was a former greeter with Walmart.
She is survived by: Daughter, Melissa (Russell) Rutland of Dothan; Daughter, Amy (Davy) Hay of Montgomery; Son, Kevin (Larissa) Cleckler of Cullman; and Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Rutland, Hope Rutland, John Scott Jackson, Kathryn Cleckler, and Kayden Cleckler.
A private family graveside service will be held in the Bell Lane Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
