Betty Sue (Johnson) Wells

BETTY SUE (JOHNSON) WELLS, age 84 of Jemison, passed away on October 30, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on May 2, 1940; the daughter of the late Harvey F. Johnson and the late Leo Melton Johnson.

She was a former lunchroom worker at Calera High School.

She is survived by: Husband of 63 years, Ted Wells of Jemison; Daughter, Kelli Wells of Jemison; Son, Scotty (Sharee) Wells of Jemison; Grandchildren: Dakota (Markie) Harris of Hoover, Matthew Wightman of Jemison, Chris Wightman of Millbrook, and Kasi Wells Deol of Madison; Great Grandchildren: Hugo Harris of Hoover and Christopher Wightman of Millbrook; Sister, Lula Glass of Calera; Sister, Elizabeth Mims of Clanton; and a host of other relatives.

She is preceded in death by: Parents, Harvey and Leo Johnson; Sister, opal Mae Alverson; Brother, Roy Dale Johnson; Brother, Frank Johnson; and an Infant Sibling.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11:00am from the Shelby Memory Gardens Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Calera with Bro. Danny Alverson and Bro. Dakota Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, AL.
