Billy Harold Smith

BILLY HAROLD SMITH, age 78 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on November 3, 2024 at UAB St. Vincent-Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. He was born in Jefferson County, AL on December 7, 1945; the son of the late Elbert Smith and the late Lorene Self Smith.

He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by: Daughter, Tracey Smith of Albertville; Son, Eric Smith of Southern Pines, NC; Grandchildren: Jordan Weaver, Paul Levering, Shelby Bragg, and Dylan Levering; Great Grandchildren: Jayce Alexander, Paul J. Levering V, and Lexi Grey Levering; Sister, Inez Sullivan of Pinson; Brother, Connie W. Smith of Macon, GA; and Sister, Linda Hill of Morris.

He is preceded in death by: Daughter, Vicki Levering; Parents, Elbert and Lorene Smith; and Brothers: Elbert “Buddy” Smith Jr., Tommy Smith, Tony Smith, Darwin Smith, and Bobby Smith.

The family will host a time of remembrance on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00am at the Bill Noble Park, Pavilion 9, 5895 Bill Noble Dr., Gardendale, AL.
