Bob Travis Groves

BOB TRAVIS GROVES, age 78 of Clanton passed away Thursday, October 17,
2024 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Temple,
Texas on October 11, 1946, son of the late John Cravis Groves and the late Annie
Mae Tillery.

Bob was an amazing father, provider and mentor to his children. He was a friend
to everyone, his generous nature was seen throughout the community as he
offered to help anyone in all situations. He loved volunteering for Senior
Connections in Clanton on top of his many charitable activities. Bob was his
children’s hero, he was loved deeply and will truly be missed by all who knew
him.

He is survived by his Son, Michael “Travis” Groves (Beatrice) of Grapevine, TX;
Daughter, Nancy “Darlene” Groves Cole (Greg) of Yulee, FL; Granddaughter,
Chelsea Rhiannon Groves of Houston, TX; Grandsons, Gregory Allen Cole
(Courtney) of Rincon, GA, Corey Nicholas Cole of Yulee, FL, Logan Patrick Cole
of Yulee, FL; Great-Grandchildren, London Cole, Hunter McCartha, Noah
McCartha, Evelyn Cole; Former Spouse and Loving Friend, Janie Groves;
Extended Family, Julienne, Ryan, Jared, and Cole Stevenson.
Special recognition of dear friend and companion Jean Carr. Closest and dearest
friends Casey Aaron, Boyd Fillippeli, and Danny “Boone” Stivner.
He is preceded in death by his Father, John Groves; Mother, Annie Tillery; Sister,
Martha Ann Trammell.

A Celebration of Life Service will by announced later by the
family.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of
Clanton, AL.
