BOBBIE NELL (KNIGHT) SCARBROUGH, age 93 of Clanton, passed away on January 11, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on December 7, 1932; the daughter of the late Odell Knight and the late Ethel Rushing Knight.
Bobbie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was united in marriage to her childhood sweetheart, Newton Eugene Scarbrough, on January 19, 1952, and together they built a loving home and a beautiful legacy. Their marriage was blessed with five children and grew to include ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two bonus great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life.
Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found happiness in caring for her home and family. She enjoyed spending time gardening and cooking for those she loved, and in earlier years she especially enjoyed couponing. Her nurturing spirit, strong work ethic, and deep love for her family were evident in everything she did.
She is survived by her son, Jackie (Angie) Scarbrough; her daughter, Jennifer (David) Wendt; her son, Gregory (Denise) Scarbrough; her son, Vince (Teresa) Scarbrough; her grandchildren, Rachel Scarbrough, Mary Wendt, LeeAnne Wendt, Andrew (Heather) Wendt, Sara Wendt, Zachary (Ryan) Scarbrough, Kyle (Erin) Scarbrough, Abbie (Julien) Sciandra, Caleb (Claire) Scarbrough, and Olivia Scarbrough; her great-grandchildren, Jacob Wendt, Lily Wendt, Ben Wendt, Addison Scarbrough, Elijah Scarbrough, Madi Warren, Ethan Segars, Laura Catherine Scarbrough, and Darcy Grace Sciandra; and her brother, Billy (Vera) Knight.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Newton Eugene Scarbrough; her infant twin son, Grant Allen Scarbrough; her parents, Odell and Ethel Knight; her sister, Margaret (George) Walker; her brothers, Dasil (Annette) Knight, Mickey Knight, and infant brother Gilbert Wayne Knight.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Vince Scarbrough officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama.
Bobbie will be remembered for her quiet strength, loving heart, and the deep devotion she showed to her family throughout her long and meaningful life.
