BOBBY GENE SMITHERMAN, age 89 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on August 21, 20224 at his residence. He was born in Bibb County, AL on August 6, 1935; the son of the late Mack E. Smitherman and the late Lodema Jackson Smitherman.
He was a former carpenter. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by: Son, Charles Smitherman of Clanton; Son, Kenneth Smitherman of Centreville; Son, George Smitherman of Brent; Son, Ershell Smitherman of Centreville; Son, Steve Smitherman of Centreville; Son, Brian Smitherman of Randolph; Daughter, Lisa Lightsey of Randolph; Grandson, Robert Smitherman of Clanton; Granddaughter, Hannah Sanders of Clanton; and Niece, Susan McCormick of Clanton.
He is preceded in death by his Wife, Linda Louise McCormick Smitherman.
No services are currently scheduled for Mr. Smitherman.
