Brandon Vinzant Obituary

BRANDON RAY VINZANT, age 46 of Jemison, passed away peacefully at his home on June 12, 2025, after a courageous and brief battle with cancer. He was born in Alabaster, Alabama, on December 18, 1978, to the late Bobby Ray Vinzant and Debbie Wiggins Vinzant.

Brandon was a man defined by quiet strength, steady patience, and an unwavering devotion to his family. He was a faithful husband, a proud and loving father, a dependable son, and a loyal brother. To know Brandon was to know kindness — not just in words, but in action. He had a natural way of making people feel at ease, often with a quick-witted joke or a steady hand willing to help.

He had a gift for fixing things — cars, machines, appliances, whatever needed attention. Brandon didn’t just fix things; he restored them. It became a running saying among those who knew him best: “If it can’t be fixed, take it to Brandon — he’ll figure it out.” But what he truly mended best were the hearts around him. Whether offering a laugh in a tough moment or standing strong in times of need, Brandon was the kind of man you could count on.

Above all else, he cherished his family. He loved deeply and led with quiet example — never needing the spotlight, only the comfort of knowing his wife and children were safe and loved.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Detheal Vinzant; his children, Jamie Vinzant, Jocelyn Vinzant, Jase Vinzant, and Jaxon Vinzant — each of whom were his pride and joy; his beloved mother, Debbie Vinzant; brother, Ronald Matthew Vinzant; special brother-in-law, Grady Ellison; and many extended family members and friends who were blessed by his presence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Vinzant, whose memory he carried with him always.
