Brooke Lenae Walker

BROOKE LENAE WALKER, age 32, of White City, Alabama, passed away tragically on October 4, 2025, in Verbena, Alabama, as the result of an automobile accident.

Brooke entered this world on November 17, 1993, in Montgomery, Alabama, alongside her twin sister, as the beloved daughter of Sidney Oneal Walker and LeeAnn Coggins Melton. She was a proud graduate of Billingsley High School and was currently employed at Adient in Clanton, where she was known for her hard work and positive spirit.

Brooke lived a vibrant and passionate life, full of curiosity and care for the world around her. She had a deep love for nature, meditation, and all living things. Her greatest joy came from nurturing life—whether it was through growing vegetables and fruits, tending to flowers and trees, or simply finding peace in the outdoors. She approached life with an open heart and an appreciation for its simple, beautiful moments.

Though her time here was far too short, Brooke’s warmth, kindness, and free spirit touched all who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on through the love she shared and the many lives she brightened along the way.

She is survived by her daughter, Ava Majors; her partner of eight years, David Courtney; her father, Sidney Walker; her mother, LeeAnn (Lonnie) Melton; sisters, Brittany Walker, Brianna Walker, Brittney Roper, Patricia (Mark) Johnson, and Jessica Roper; brothers, Stephan (Becca) Melton, Wesley Melton, Evan (Sydney) Melton, and Blake Walker; special family friends, Tammy Mims and Colleen Marshall; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leon and Maxine Coggins; paternal grandparents, Billy Sr. and Linda Walker; uncles, Ronald Walker, David Walker Jr., and James Coggins; and aunt, Lee Bass.

The family will hold a private service at a later date to honor and celebrate her life.
