Carolyn Marie (Martin) Burdett

CAROLYN MARIE (MARTIN) BURDETT, age 56 of Clanton, passed away on January 16, 2025 at UAB-St. Vincent Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. She was born in Clanton, AL on November 29, 1968; the daughter of Charlie Martin and Joyce Connell Martin.

Carolyn retired after 30 years of service as a custodian at Vestavia High School. In her free time, she enjoyed reading. She loved her family more than anything, especially her children and grandchildren. She was the epitome of what a mother should be. She will be remembered for her love of people.

She is survived by: Son, Justin Martin of Clanton; Daughter, Katie (Ashley) Burdett of Clanton; Daughter, Selena Burdett of Clanton; 10 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Parents, Charlie and Joyce Martin of Clanton; Sister, Charlene (Kevin) Driver of Clanton; Sister, Christy (Mike) Rhodes of Clanton; and Brother, Tim (Crystal) Martin of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by: Son, Jason Burdett; Grandson, Inf. Cole Martin; Grandson, Easton Wilson; and Grandson, Jarrett Traywick.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 2:00pm from Mineral Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Erron Price and Rev. Don Vanderslice officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
