Carolyn "Beth" Elizabeth Gates

CAROLYN ELIZABETH “BETH” GATES, age 29 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2020 at St. Vincent-Chilton in Clanton. She was born in Brunswick, GA on December 26, 1990; the daughter of Stuart Gates and Michelle Newton.

She was a former cashier. Beth loved arts and crafts and enjoyed spending time in the mountains and at the river.

She is survived by: Son, Nicholas Jones of Clanton; Father, Stuart Gates of Sykesville, MD; Mother, Michelle Newton of Clanton; Brother, Timothy Holcomb of Waycross, GA; Brother, Brandon Ellis of Clanton; Sister, Angel Ferris of LA; and Grandparents, Don and Brenda Newton of Knoxville, TN.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
