Charles Lewis Williams

CHARLES LEWIS WILLIAMS, age 80 of Clanton, passed away on November 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Verbena, AL on May 13, 1940; the son of the late Owen Williams and the late Ruth Gray Williams.

He served his country in the United States Army and was a former equipment operator with Asplundh Tree Service. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially each of his grandchildren. He loved to farm and be out driving and working with his tractor. He was also an avid Alabama football fan.

He is survived by: Wife, Linda Childress; Son, Charles Keith (Brandy) Williams; Step-Daughter, Patsy Childress; Grandchildren: Brooke (Brad) Caton, Cory Williams, and Cody Williams; Brother, Carlton Williams; and Sisters, Geneva Wilkins and Judy Mims.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Bethsalem Baptist Cemetery in Billingsley, AL.
