Christopher Lee Richards

CHRISTOPHER LEE “CHRIS” RICHARDS, born on April 25, 1991, in Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on April 14, 2025, in Tallassee, Alabama, due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He was 33 years old.

Chris was the son of the late James Everett Richards Jr. and Melissa Joyce Thornhill Duke. He was a devoted father to his son, Conner, who was the center of his world. The two were inseparable — whether they were riding Razors through creek beds or spending quiet days on the lake, Chris treasured every moment they shared.

A beloved brother and a true friend to many, Chris was known for his big heart, contagious smile, and adventurous spirit. He had a deep love for the outdoors — hunting, fishing, and racing were some of his favorite pastimes. He embraced life with energy, laughter, and a fearless drive that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Chris will be remembered for his loyalty, his love for his family, and the way he brought people together. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by: Son, Conner Lee Richards of Millbrook; Mother, Melissa (Mike) Duke of Billingsley; Brother, James (Cassie) Richards, Jr. of Prattville; Brother, Brandon Richards of Wetumpka; Brother, Michael (Morgan) Duke of Prattville; Sister, Dennim Garrett; Brother, Skylar Garrett; Grandmother, Georgia (Jim) Southerland of Marbury; Mother of his son, Danielle Richards of Millbrook; Uncle, George (Susanne) Richards of Marbury; Aunt, Gloria Richards of Grady; Nephews: Mitch Richards, Grady Richards, Jackson Duke, and Landon Jones; Nieces, Brylin Tomlin and Addie Richards; Brother and sister-in-Law, Ronnie and Magen Jones of Tallassee; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: Father, James E. Richards, Sr.; Grandfather, Donald Oneal Richards, Sr.; and Uncle, Donald Oneal Richards, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Brasher officiating.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery in Plantersville, AL.
