CLIFFORD EMANUELL THOMPSON, age 70 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on January 11, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Bessemer, AL on January 29, 1954; the son of the late Jonnie Thompson and the late Vera Dean Thompson.
Clifford was an over the road truck driver for many years. He enjoyed the cowboy lifestyle where he was a bull rider and loved horses. He also enjoyed watching westerns and fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by: Daughter, Cassie (Joey) Morrison of Jemison; Grandchildren, Mukyli Morrison and Taigen Morrison of Jemison; Brother, Pal (Donna) Thompson of Pelham; Neice, Frankie Thompson of Pelham; Nephew, Jamey (Liz) Thompson of Calera; and Great Niece, Scarlet Thompson of Calera.
He is preceded in death by: Son, Corey Thompson; and Parents, Jonnie and Vera Thompson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
